Ooh La La!
Signed on the counter enameled back of all 3 pieces: Andrée Bazot, Paris.
This unique and lucious colored necklace with matching earrings has 5 leaf - like abstract forms with bright raised green enamel bubbles (cookies) in the middle between free form silvery green shapes. The pieces are trimmed and highlighted with 18 kt gold paint. Braided original chain.

“Andrée Bazot was one of the most creative enamellists of the postwar period. Her exuberant glossy enamel designs were freeform or cutout with highly original color palettes. Each was one-of-a-kind hand-painted. She decorated the last enamel layer with 18 kt. gold trailings. The effect was both sensual and feminine.” - Cited From modernsilver.

Bazot was a studio artist of the 1950’s and 60’s. Her technique was to create silver-foiled copper pieces which were decorated with raised hunks of clear enamel called "cookies" - which were then fused to the copper base, imitating gemstone cabochons.
Her jewelry was made in limited supplies, and these rare jewelry creations were expensive and time consuming to produce. They are quite wonderful works of art. You will enjoy wearing and displaying it, and I think you will fall in love with Bazot’s jewelry just as I did.

Size: Necklace: 2 inches wide at center ~ 18 inches long;
Earrings: ¾ inch wide by 1-1/4” long

Condition: Please note that this necklace has a repair, and I must say a most excellent repair presumably by an enamellist. It’s the second piece on the hook side of the chain. One of the “leaves” broke, and it was glued or fused back together. It does not effect the wearing of the necklace, but is visible on the back. Please look carefully. But because of this issue, I am going to include this in the upcoming 50% Ruby Lane Sale
