Sterling Silver earrings marked “STERLING CINI” on each of the clip earring part.
These are a fine example of the Renaissance Revival influenced jewelry created by the well respected Cini jewelry company.
Guglielmo Cini immigrated from Florence to the United States in 1922 and opened his Cini jewelry company. He also designed jewelry for Gumps of San Francisco. His jewelry is very ornate and romantic. My best educated guess (because of the clip earring back) is that these earrings date from the 1950s or early 1960s.
Each of these sterling silver earrings show a cherub sitting on a cloud with 6 graduated lengths of chain ending with a sterling ball. These chains dangle making these earrings fluid with the shortest length of chain first , then each chain lengthening to the longest one at the back.
Size: 2 3/8” long by ½” wide; Condition is very good; no repairs or damage, all original.
Of course, since these are sterling, the new owner can shine them as brightly as desired, but I love the warm rich vintage silver patina.
