An unusual rare sterling sugar shell spoon marked YPSCE, the acronym for the Young People's Society of Christian Endeavour, an organization founded by Pastor Francis Edward Clark in 1881 in Portland, Maine. The spoon has the YPSCE logo in relief with Art Nouveau flourishes. In the bowl is the original church, Williston Congregational Church, located in Portland.
It measures approximately 5 3/8" long and weighs 19 grams. It is in fine condition and has not been polished recently.
