Patented in 1904, the Altair pattern was made by Mechanics Silver, a subsidiary of Watson Co. This handsome berry serving spoon has a raised pattern on the handle, back and front, and has a matte bowl with a gold wash over the silver.
It is 8 1/4" long and 2 3/8" across the bowl. It weighs 80 grams (2.6 troy ounces). There is no monogram. Except for slight wear of the gold wash, it is in great condition.
