This exquisite milk pitcher or large creamer was produced in the 1890s by Copeland Spode of England. It has a heavenly blue matte background with a creamy white pate-sur-pate or jasperware design.
The scene around the body is a very finely detailed stag hunt with hunters, horses, dogs, and a downed deer. The top and bottom are encircled by a beautiful repeating relief design. The interior, bottom and handle have a gloss glaze.
The bottom is hallmarked as shown.
Size: 4 1/2” tall and 5 1/2” from handle to spout.
It is in pristine condition.
