M. Senna was one of the most prolific of Siam's great silversmiths. He produced jewelry, flatware, and hollow ware and was a master of the Niello technique. This beautifully wrought boat shaped dish has a Thai god (Deva) at the prow and back of the boat and the sides are covered with swirls and foliage against a textured/hammered background. The repousse and hand chased work is of high quality.
