An unusual design souvenir spoon with Japanese character hallmarks. Made in early 1900s Japan, the small teaspoon has a bamboo stem handle rounded at the top and encircling a bamboo leaf. The bowl is inscribed with cursive "Nagasaki". It is 4 3/4" (12cm) long and weighs 13.4 grams. Silver purity tests as sterling or higher, probably 950. Condition is excellent.
