Very Arts and Crafts in execution, this tazza ( footed shallow bowl or tray) was produced by Gorham in 1914 and has the eagle head date mark. The entire surface of the bowl, pedestal, and base is hand hammered. Given the time period, this could also have functioned as a calling card receiver. The center of the bowl has an etched floral wreath outlining a shield for the owner's initials.
The diameter of the top is 5 7/8" and the height is 3". The weight is a solid 6 troy ounces of silver. The bowl is monogrammed- shallow enough that it could be removed. Condition is excellent- no dents or heavy scratches.
