An old 1800s large oval vegetable or meat serving tray hand wrought from thick copper. It is tinned on the bottom and possibly also had a tin lining on the well but most of it has worn off from much use leaving a beautiful red patina. The ends have riveted brass handles one of which is a wing away loop which functions for hanging the tray. The wide edge is rolled under. This antique tray with its mixture of red and chestnut patinas and traces of the silvery tin displays beautifully and is a testament to the service that it has provided over its long life.

The tray measures 15 3/4" long, 17 3/4" with the handle. It is 10 1/2" wide and 3/4" deep. Weight is 2 lb 5.4 oz.
