Mid to late 1800s antique Chinese cups, saucers and plates of very fine porcelain hand painted in polychrome enamels and gilt. There are 3 cups, 3 saucers and 3 small plates each divided into 4 panels outlined in red and gilt. Two panels have charming people scenes painted in black, blue, green, and orange enamels; two panels have floral motifs in red and gold. The cups are demitasse size and the plates are the same size as the saucers but without the indents for the cups. The bottom of all 9 pieces is marked with a series of 9 characters which I cannot decipher.

The cups are 2 1/2" diameter by 2 " high. The saucers and plates are around 4" diameter. The lot weighs 13 ounces. Two cups and two saucers have small, fine, tight hairline cracks visible on one side and which don't interfere with the integrity of the pieces.
