Bright enamel colors are used by the artist who hand painted this dazzling beach scene in Ceylon, an island off the coast of India, now known as Sri Lanka. A boat is pulling up to the shore and there is a mansion and palm trees in the background. Written across the blue sky is Souvenir of Ceylon. The handle has stripes of cobalt enamel and the end has an elephant in a red shield.

The demitasse spoon has the early German hallmarks for 800 silver. The spoon is 4 1/2" (11.5cm) and weighs 13.8 grams. There is a little loss of the cobalt blue enamel on the handle.
