Produced in the 1890s, this little hexangular bon bon dish or trinket tray was made from heavy gauge sterling silver. The bottom is solid and the sides are pierced or cut-out in a gorgeous Art Nouveau floral and scroll design. The backside is smooth and gold washed. The foot is stamped 925 Sterling 1000 and the C crown M hallmark for Campbell-Metcalf Silver Co. in business in Providence, RI from 1892-1900. The top measures 5 7/8" across, the foot is 3" across, and height is 1". The weight is a heavy 115.1 grams or 3.7 troy ounces. Some of the gilt is rubbed off the bottom.
