Beautiful, elegant, long drop earrings in white gold, a lustrous white pearl dangling at the end of a zig-zag branch or stem whose leaves are set with bright round diamonds. The stem and leaf have millegrain outlines as does the setting holding the flower (pearl). The pearl setting is incised with a fuchsia-like flower and is set with two diamonds. The stem is cleverly jointed in two places so the earrings have side to side movement. The earring backs and ear nuts (quite substantial pieces) are stamped 18K.
There are a total of 9 diamonds in each earring- two 2mm, four 1 1/2mm, and three 1mm diameter. They are VSI clarity and G color. The pearls measure 10mm x 8mm and have a thick lustrous nacre. Everything about these earrings is very high quality.
The earrings drop 1 9/16" (40mm) and weigh 6 grams.
Definition of millegrain: A type of jewelry setting, characterized by a series of continuous fine beads (the term literally translates as "a thousand grains" in French) on the surface; these are not only decorative, but can also help secure a gemstone in place; created by rolling a tiny wheel at the edge of a special tool over the metal.
