Presented for sale is an 1850 circa French Empire Rosewood and marquetry inlaid Portico Clock with matching stand and original dome. The clock has an eight-day movement with four supporting columns supporting a frieze and resting on a rectangular block base. The clock is covered with the original blown dome and rests on a matching platform. The works are signed illegibly by the Paris maker.
The clock is in very good condition. We have not had it running, as we've yet to find a matching key, but all the mechanisms are present. The clock is perfect for a mantle or shelf.
