An unusual Royal Bonn vase the large pumpkin shaped body narrows to a small neck with flared edge. It was probably used to hold wine or water. The vase is decorated in a strongly colored shaded green background hand painted with large iris-like flowers in bright jewel tone colors highlighted in gilt.
The vase is in good condition with minor paint loss commensurate with age and minor crazing to base.
Royal Bonn was a German Company that produced pottery between 1880 to 1920 in the style of the English company Royal Worcester. Although their wares are considerably less valuable than Royal Worcester, the market has recently seen an increase in the prices of more unusual pieces.
