Presented for sale is an exceptional Dr. Wall period Worcester soft paste porcelain saucer in a variation of their pattern known as The Jabberwocky (initially know as the Fine Old Rich Dragons Pattern). The saucer is marked with one of their rarely used marks, which was supposed to depict an imitation of a Chinese mark.
The fine enameling and vivid art-work was Worcester’s attempt to produce superb decorative wares and they exceeded beyond their wildest expectations. To this day, owning a fine piece of hand decorated Worcester porcelain is a sign of prestige and wealth.
The saucer is in excellent condition, as fine and beautiful as it was 240 years ago.
Size: 5 ¼” Diameter.
