We are delighted to offer for sale a very pretty hand painted Schmeisser Porzellan Manufaktur (SPM) porcelain double sweetmeat or bonbon tray with handle. The tray features a scalloped rim decorated with bluebells framing an interior painted with luscious fruit. The piece is framed in gilt scrolls and features a Rococo handle.
SPM was a 19th century German porcelain manufactory that was founded in 1865 and closed in 1910. They produced decorative hand painted china in the styles of KPM and Meissen.
The tray is in very good condition, the enamels vibrant and well detailed. There is a small amount of gilt rubbed from the handles and a small chip to the rim of the foot base.
Size: 3 ½” Height by 11” Length.
