Presented for sale is a rare pair of circa 1810 Chamberlain Worcester dishes in their Thumb & Finger patterned Imari. The dishes are resplendently hand decorated with wildflowers in rusts and cobalts trailed with green leaves and polished off in gilt.
The dishes are named on the back and are in pristine condition. They are marked for Worcester #276 variation because there were many renditions of this particularly hard to find pattern, some more densely decorated than others. The workmanship is typical of the splendid craftsmanship that made Worcester one of the most celebrated of British porcelains.
Size: 8 ¼” Diameter.
