Offered for sale is an exceptional pair of Meiji period (late 19th century) Japanese Imari vases molded with raised dragons. The heart-shaped have flared, fluted necks and frilled handles. The vases sit upon scalloped bases and are vividly colored in cobalt and cinnamon reds highlighted heavily with gilt.
They are both in excellent condition with some gilt wear present on the handles.
