Offered for sale is a beautiful large late 19th century, Meiji period, Japanese Imari Porcelain Charger. The cross-hatch design serves as a background for wedge shaped panels that are painted with rondels and cloud vignettes featuring garden scenes, lion dogs, and temples. The colors are a very pleasing blend of cinnamon and cobalt-blue highlighted with gilt. The back is decorated with flora.
The charger is in excellent condition, perfect for display with only minor signs of enamel wear.
