Offered for sale is a Royal Worcester Blush Ivory milk jug or pitcher decorated with hand painted dogwood vines and leaves, circa 1887. The jug is further enhanced with raised gilt bamboo flowers and a bamboo-bound handle highlighted in brushed gilt stepped up with red. The Japanese influence is most evident in the style of this piece, a popular theme during the Aesthetic Movement in Great Britain.
The jug is in excellent condition, is signed on the base, for artist Edward Raby, and numbered 1185.
