These plates were sold by the prestigious Ovington Brothers store, who carried only the highest quality porcelain and giftware. The plates have wide burgundy borders with a white centers. The borders are enhanced with raised gilt impasto work and each center has a gilded flower.
The plates would make impressive displays in a cabinet and are in very good condition with some color rubbing, and minor gilt wear mostly to the center flower. The color has some variation among the plates, and some in the same plate; please see photos.
