Presented for sale is a magnificent pair of mid 19th century Chinese Export Rose Medallion vases fitted as lamps. The vases are set into a bronze reticulated base with grape leaf handles, and a waisted column fitted with the lamps works. These lamps were configured in France, as a popular practice in the 19th century was to take Asian pieces and fit them in bronze. This has produced some of the most collectible of pieces and truly showcases the beauty of finely made porcelain.
The lamps are in excellent condition and have been fitted with new designer silk shades (shades may differ slightly from the ones pictured). They have telescoping columns so the height can be adjusted.
