Offered for sale is a pair of 18th century Sevres dark blue ground and enameled cups and saucers. The sets feature gilt laurel leaf cartouches painted with vignettes of figures in a pastoral landscape circled with turquoise beading.
The cups and saucers appear to have been re-glazed to the interior, possibly a much older factory restoration, however, the exterior shows no signs of restoration under black-light. There are a few pieces of turquoise beading missing, however the pieces are exquisitely detailed and lovely for display.
Size of Cups: 3” Height
Size of Saucers: 5 7/8” Diameter.
