Presented for sale is a colorful late 19th to early 20th century Japanese Imari Center Bowl with a scalloped edge. The bowl is decorated in deep cobalt underglaze with iron red enamels highlighted in green. The exterior and interior of the bowl feature large scale reserves of flowers and symbols decorated with medallions of botanicals.
The bowl is in excellent condition with minor enamel loss and pooled glaze on the underside of the base. Possible signature under glaze.
