Presenting a sensational pair of Teplitz Amphora vases in a bluish purple glazed finish. The bulbous formed vases feature meandering vines laden with peaches. The peaches are so realistically painted that one can swear they have fuzz on them. The stunning contrast of the peaches against the iridescent glaze highlights the incredible artistry of these Bohemian Art Nouveau treasures. There are no two are alike, each one a testament to the fervent imagination of their creator.
We have loved and collected the pottery of Bohemia for years, their unique finishes and forms have always fascinated us and their glazes are parallel to none. The vases are in very good condition with a professional restoration to one leaf. Although we cannot decipher the mark, we attribute these pieces to Paul Dachsel, circa 1900.
Size: 8 ½” Height by 7” Diameter (approximately).
