Offered for sale is a 19th century Georgian Hepplewhite card table of figured mahogany woods inlaid with tulipwood banding. The demilune-shaped table is hinged, and the back leg swings out to support the leaf when opened. The table is raised on tapered legs that end in Marlborough feet.
The table is nicely strung with inlay throughout and has kept its original finish. The top leaf is slightly warped and there are small amounts of fracture to the inlay commensurate with age and use, as well as some discoloring on the open top.
The table is of a smaller size, 36" diameter with the top open, making it an unusual find for this period and perfect for small entrance halls or vestibules.
Size: 36” Width by 29” Height by 17 ½” Depth.
