Presented for sale is a lovely Dresden porcelain lamp made in the early part of the 20th century by the firm of Von Schierholz. The lamp depicts a group of young adults dancing around a Maypole on a Rococo formed base. The lamp is hand painted and embellished with flowers.
The Von Schierholz factory has been producing fine examples of figural porcelain items since 1817 and is still located in Plaue, Germany in the region of Thuringia.
The lamp has a silk shade fastened with a floral encrusted porcelain finial and is in very good condition with minor petal chips.
