Presented for sale is a matching set of four 18th century hand-colored engravings depicting species of birds by George L Comte de Buffon. The prints are engraved on laid paper, beautifully matted and framed, and ready to hang. It is almost impossible to find an older set in such great condition.

They are all in excellent condition with a minute amount of age related foxing and discoloration only seen upon close examination.
