Presented for sale is a blue glass blown-molded hall lantern or chandelier with retracting mechanism in the canopy shell. The light, which was once kerosene is now electrified and has been restored by our lighting expert. The mechanism present to raise and lower the shade still works well.
The glass shade is a stunning sapphire blue that illuminates beautifully. The chandelier is in very good condition with a crack to one of the lower lobes that has been professionally reinforced. It is not seen except upon close examination, and certainly does not affect its stability, but must be mentioned for accuracy. The flaw is old and it has been that way for at least 50 years, as was told to us by the former owners.
