Offered for sale is a stunning pair of late 19th century Royal Crown Derby shell shaped dessert dishes in the King’s Pattern. This timeless pattern has been part a staple of Derby porcelain since the late 18th century when it was introduced to replace wares imported from Japan.

The King’s Pattern and its enduring beauty has never gone out of favor as it’s as hotly collected today as it was 200 years ago. The dishes are perfect for cabinet display with their lavish gilt highlights laid upon deep cobalt and iron red enamels. They are in excellent condition with minor to no gilt or enamel wear.

Size: 9 7/8” Height by 9 ¼” Width.
