Offered for sale is a large late 19th to early 20th century Italian Majolica style urn made of terracotta clays with a hand painted slip glaze finish. The black background is densley decorated with grapes, vines, and leaves in vivid colors. The urn is embellished with figurehead masks and side handles and is sectioned by decorative rings. This is a showy piece of substantial weight that will brighten up any room.
The urn is in very good condition with some minor enamel flakes and chips to the surface commiserate with age and production flaws.
