Offered for sale is a set of three late 18th to early 19th century topographical Derby cabinet plates with hand painted floral vignettes and landscape scenes. The plates have serpentine rims with a wide cobalt border, stepped up with gilded sprigs and interrupted by botanical vignettes. Each plate has a large individual hand painted landscape medallion.
The plates are in very good condition with minor wear to the inner gilded band on each plate where they were stacked. There is a tight hairline to the edge of one plate. The plates are perfect for display in the finest collection of early British porcelain.
