Presented for sale is a massive late 19th century French Louis XVI style Kingwood Bibliothèque vitrine cabinet with ormolu mounts. The vitrine has a center section with a large singe beveled glass door flanked by side wings with single beveled doors. The interior opens to reveal a mirrored shelf on the bottom topped by four tiers of singular weighty glass shelves that are adjustable. All doors lock and the key is present. It is raised on tapered legs.
The vitrine displays beautiful craftsmanship and is very heavy and substantial. It should be noted that anchoring it to the wall is imperative because of the weight of the center door. The lights and shelving system were added more recently.
The cabinet is in excellent condition and breaks down for shipment. There is a crack to the mirror on the bottom and a few of the glass shelves have small nicks commensurate with age and use.
