Presented for sale is an 18th century Dutch Marquetry bookcase cabinet with glazed doors. The upper section has a molded cornice centered with a carved cartouche. Two glazed doors with multiple panes open to an upholstered interior with three fixed shelves. The center is flanked with canted sides that are inset with glass. The lower section has two inset paneled doors that open to a single cabinet. The cabinet has a molded plinth and is raised on bun feet.
The cabinet is in good condition, rather delicate, with some subtle age-related cracking to the sides. The interior watered silk covering does show signs of age and staining, part of its charm. The beautiful glazed panels in the doors appear to be original.
Size: 84” Height by 60” Width by 14” Depth.
