Offered for sale is a stunning pair of Paris Porcelain gilt and platinum-ground vases painted with botanicals in the Japonisme style, circa 1875-1885. The platinum ground-paneled sides have meandering vines and flowers (painted in resist), enhanced with flying birds and a nest. The vases are raised on gilded Toupee feet.
The vases are in excellent condition with nicely detailed painting. There is wear to the gilding around the base mainly to the corners.
