Presented for sale is an unusual late 19th century French tilt-top Papier Mache tea table. The oval formed top has a scalloped edge with four shaped handles. The top is supported on a tilting frame, which is raised on four splayed legs.
The tray is lacquered in black and highlighted with gilt and abalone shell inlays. It is in very good condition with some age-related crazing to the top and minor gilt loss.
