Presented for sale is an English period 18th C. Georgian Queen Anne mahogany wing chair. The chair features an arched back with sloped wings resting on scrolled arms. It is fitted with a down-filled balloon seat cushion and raised on carved cabriole legs with padded feet. An H-crossed stretcher connects the front legs to the blocked back legs.
We have chosen to have the chair reupholstered in a cream-colored silk blend damask that suits its elegant proportions, as the previous material was too tattered to preserve. The chair is in excellent condition with minor age-related scuff marks to the legs. There was a break to a back leg that our woodworker repaired and it is now structurally (and cosmetically) sound.
Size: 49” Height by 28 ½” Width by 25” Depth.
