Presented for sale is an outstanding late 19th century Irish Georgian style porter’s chair of unusual form. The arched, hooded back curves down to padded scrolled arms. The chair is fitted with a loose seat cushion and is raised on hook-curved walnut legs ending in drake feet. A serpentine stretcher connects the legs.
The chair is in excellent condition and was recently reupholstered in designer cream damask with golden tones. The legs do show a dark aged patina with slight wear; a very desirable look.
Size: 65” Height by 37” Width by 35” Depth.
