Presented for sale is an exceptional pair of later 19th century French four-light candelabras in bronze. The figures are molded after a Clodion sculpture and feature a putti and faun, each sitting on an outcropping of rocks mounted on a fluted pedestal and holding branched candle arms ending in rococo nozzles with formed bobeches. The candelabras are mounted on a conforming stacked platform base that has been ebonized. They are further enhanced with draped garlands and laurel leaf borders.
They are both in excellent condition and have been fitted for electricity with newly restored wiring and candle sleeves. They are ready to plug in and use; a superbly detailed pair to showcase on a sideboard or commode.
Size: 27” Height.
