Offered for sale is an early 19th century Dutch Bombay commode of burled walnut woods. The conforming serpentine top has a molded edge over four drawers; curved stiles terminate in scrolled feet.
The commode is of small size, perfect for an entrance hall or beside a bed. It is in good condition with vertical age cracks to the side and fractures to the top, typical of pieces from this era and origin. We chose not to restore as the old cracks are a testament to its age and history.
Size: 33” Height by 36” Width by 22” Depth.
