Offered for sale is a mid 20th century Italian Capodimonte porcelain soldier depicting one of Napoleon’s generals, possibly Murat. He is posed in a beautiful hand-painted costume with an ermine trimmed coat, holding his rifle with bayonet.
The figure is in excellent condition, hand painted, and signed by Di Pietro. This porcelain mold was originally produced by the Royal Naples factory in the 19th century.
