Presenting for sale a finely sculpted porcelain bust made by The Rudolstadt Factory of Thuringia, German, circa 1904 – 1924. The bust depicts the actress Sarah Bernhardt dressed in one of her daring costumes with upswept hair. This bust was actually an earlier mold purchased from the former Amphora Porcelain Works of Reissner, Stellmacher, and Kessel.
The bust is subtly hand painted in shades of light pink and green with lots of frills and adornment typical of the beautiful work found on these pieces.
Size: 15 ¼" Height by 12" Width.
