Presenting for sale a handsome pair of vintage 1940 – 1950 leather top mahogany side tables made by the Weiman Furniture Company. The tables have tooled green leather tops over a frieze fitted with a single drawer. They are supported on U-shaped brackets atop a heavy fluted pedestal. The pedestal sits atop a quatrefoil platform, which is raised on bun feet.
The tables are sturdy and in very good condition with minor use and age wear to the surfaces. Weiman Furniture Company was known for their leather tooled mahogany furniture in classical styles. The earlier furniture was usually mahogany veneers over mahogany secondary woods, giving it the term "solid mahogany." They were very well made pieces and have now become "Mid Century collectibles."
