Presented for sale is a large pair of early 20th century Dresden porcelain urns, encrusted with vines, flowers, and birds. The urns were produced by the Dresden factory of Richard Klemm (1869 – 1949.) Klemm was an outstanding artist who decorated blanks from Meissen, Rosenthal, KPM, and other factories. Some of his work was top quality and rivaled that of Meissen especially the pieces made for clients.
The vases are heavily encrusted with flowers vines and birds. They are a three part ensemble, base, vase, and cover. They are in excellent condition with some restoration to flower petals and a few chips present although hardly noticeable. The base and vase are permanently attached. They make a magnificent presentation and are very heavy and substantial.
Size: 22" Height.
