Presented for sale is an exceptional pair of late 19th or early 20th century Meissen porcelain snake handled vases fitted as lamps. The classical baluster form lamps are hand painted in a cream ground with brush gilded highlights. Each vase is painted front and back in floral displays and mounted with elaborately twisted snake handles. They are mounted on carved giltwood pedestals.
The lamps are in excellent condition with fine detail in the painted florals. The brushed gold against the creamy background is a elegant Meissen signature look and goes well with any decor. The lamps have been recently rewired by our lighting restorer and fitted with new designer silk shades.
Size: 34" Height.
