Presented for sale is a lovely English Ironstone dessert tray with pierced handles made by the firm of Hicks, Meigh & Johnson, 1820 – 1835. The tray is presented in their popular Japan pattern #66 in green tones, which is more rare than the usual iron red and cobalt blue. It is also picked up in gilt highlights.
The tray is in excellent condition with minor to no gilt or enamel wear. The pierced handles and scalloped edge give the plate a formality and make it stunning for cabinet display.
Size: 10 ½" Width by 9 ½" Height.
