Presenting for sale an early English soft paste porcelain decorated tea bowl and saucer, circa 1775 – 1799, attributed to Caughley, England. The shanked (twirled and fluted) ensemble is decorated with inter-looping borders of gilt and cobalt ribbons, each loop enclosing a gilded star. The center features a cobalt circle within a circular frame of gilded vines. The tea bowl is decorated on the interior and exterior.
The set is in very good condition with some gilt or enamel wear commensurate with age. No marks are present.
