Offered for sale is a set of 12 early 20th century English bone china service plates made by George Jones & Sons and marked with a crescent. The plates were sold by the prestigious 19th century New York store, Davis Collamore & Co., Ltd. They feature a wide mottled glaucous-blue border decorated with gilded garlands and scrollwork surrounding a creamy center.
The plates are very elegant and are in very good condition with minor gilt wear to some of the banding. One plate exhibits slight crazing.
