Presented for sale is a superb set of twelve matching English Davenport bone china dessert plates in the Rococo Revival manner, circa 1830–1855. Each plate is hand painted in the center with a scenic castle landscape and framed with a royal blue pierced border that has a scalloped edge. The border is picked up with gilded highlights on a white-yellow shaded ground.
These plates would be excellent for cabinet display and are in great condition with little to no loss of gilt or enamel. A matching set in this condition is very hard to find.
Size: 9" Diameter.
